Arlene J. Pembleton, 72, of the Town of Niagara, NY died on Monday March 2, 2009 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Lottie Shawanoo and the late John Williams.

Arlene was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. She later attended Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY where she graduated with honors in 1993 with Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Administration. Arlene was employed at Vishay Thin Film, Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY, and previously drove busses for handicap children. She also worked as an aide at HANCI and was also a certified MIG welder. In her leisure time, she loved playing Bingo, going to the casino with her friends and spending time with her family. Arlene also enjoyed visiting Kettle Point Indian Reserve in Canada.

Arlene is survived by one son James D. Pembleton of the Town of Niagara, NY, three daughters; Sonya D'Aloisio of Arizona, Debra (Robert Clark) Zimmerman of Sanborn, NY; Helen (Timothy) Hout of the Town of Niagara, NY, and was predeceased by one son Robert Frank Pembleton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her former husband Robert J. Pembleton of Lockport, NY, her dearest friends; Sonya Clause, Pat Wergerski and Liz Williams, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by three sisters Sadie (late Herbert) Smith, Rita Bartlett, Helen Sinapole, one brother Frank (late Florence 'Flossie') Sinapole and her half-sister Peggy William Rickard.

Friends may call on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Friday March 6th at 12 noon with Rev. Donald Robinson officiating.
