Arlene Salton, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Harris Hill Nursing Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the beloved daughter of the late Steve and Susan (Refermat) Pietras.

Arlene attended local schools and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She married the love of her life, Frank Salton at Sacred Heart Church in 1967, and spent 36 cherished years together prior to his passing in 2003.

Arlene dedicated many years of her career to Niagara Sample Book in Niagara Falls as a collator. She had a love for animals and enjoyed tending to her garden. Most of all, Arlene valued the time spent with her family, especially her four grandchildren who were her utmost pride and joy.

Arlene is survived by her children, Christine (Robert) Efthemis and Richard (Lori) Salton; her grandchildren, Thomas Efthemis, Andrea Efthemis, Mia Salton and Jack Salton; her siblings, Jane (late William) Brown, Richard (Ruth) Pietras, Rosemarie Pietras, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three siblings, Daniel (late Susan) Pietras, Teresa (late Henry) Bockman and an infant sister Rosemarie Pietras.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 22 from 5 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Private funeral services will be held for Arlene's immediate family with interment to follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
