Arshalous Garijanian, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday October 16, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late David and Noyamzar "Norma" (Baloozian) Garijanian.

Arshalous was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. For over forty years, Arshalous was employed as an executive administrator for Simon Oil in Niagara Falls, NY. She was an over fifty year member of the Armenian Relief Society, and longtime member of St. Hagop Armenian Church in Niagara Falls. Arshalous was dedicated to her family and especially adored her great-nieces and great-nephews.

Arshalous was predeceased by her sister, Emma Garijanian, and two brothers, Arsen Garijanian and Ohannes Garijanian. She is survived by her sister-in-law Sada Garijanian of Lewiston, NY, two nephews, Mark (Cathy) Garijanian of Roswell, GA, Peter (Terri) Garijanian of Fayetteville, GA; her niece Lisa (Steve) Flinchum of Niagara Falls, NY, several great-nieces and great-nephews, her cousins, George and Rosalma Baloozian of Niagara Falls, NY, Archie Karijanian of South Carolina, Jeff and Diane Baghosian of Rhode Island, Cindy and Mark DerMugrditchian of Rhode Island, Chrissy and Kasper Maksian of Massachusetts as well as several other cousins.

Friends may call on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday October 20th at 10 a.m. in St. Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church, 322 Ninth Street Niagara Falls, NY with Very Reverend Keghart Kosbakian officiating, EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to St. Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church 322 Ninth Street Niagara Falls, NY 14303.
