Devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather

Arthur T. Sullivan, Sr. 78, of the Town of Niagara, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his residence while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in St. Boniface, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Adeline (Endler) Sullivan.

Art was raised in Pennsylvania where he worked on the railroads as a young adult. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On December 27, 1958 He married Mary M. (Stelbosky)Sullivan in PA. Following his honorable discharge, he moved to the Niagara Falls area where he lived until the present time. Sully was employed as a millwright at Hooker Chemical Co., later known as Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls from 1959 until his retirement in 1997. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing cards and going to the Casino. But Arthur's greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of fifty five years, Mr. Sullivan is survived by five children, Arthur (Rosemary) Sullivan, Jr. of Sanborn, NY; Theresa (Wayne) Gould of Rochester, NY; Linda Sullivan, Lori Sullivan both of Niagara Falls, NY and John (Deborah) Sullivan of Wheatfield, NY; six grandchildren, Arthur III, Russell, Courtney, Brittany, Lexis and Angela; four brothers, Kenneth (Stella) Sullivan of Maryland, Barry Sullivan, Gary (Diana) Sullivan both of Ohio and Russell Sullivan of St. Boniface, PA as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Charles Sullivan, Jr. and Richard (Rita of Niagara Falls, NY) Sullivan and one sister Dorothy Bobik.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday December 16th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment with Military Honors will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
