Obituary

Asquith 'Squity' Cox Herman Souvenir, 52, died peacefully in his sleep on June 7th, 2020, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.  He was born on May 1, 1968 to Morris Souvenir and Cecelia Souvenir in Blairmont, Guyana (South America).

Asquith had the ability to brighten anyone's day by his warm smile and excited greeting; he made it clear that at that moment you were the most important person in the world. With every interaction Asquith made you feel his love and admiration for you, there was never a question of whether he cared. He had warm affection for the elderly and enjoyed Sunday dining with the older gals. Those who knew Asquith well, referred to him as brother-like or son-like, because of his endearing and familial vibes.

Asquith's interests included traveling and being able to immerse himself in local cuisine and culture, cooking, dining out, doing word search puzzles, bowling, playing ping-pong, singing, dancing (usually the last one on the floor) and just plain hanging out with friends and family.   He was especially fond of his family and spent large amounts of time enjoying conversation, traveling, cooking and eating, worshipping, and singing with them.

Asquith lived a full and active life; one that showed his love for people and most importantly his God Jehovah; because of this love he dedicated his life to sharing a hope for the future with everyone.

He leaves behind his beloved parents, Morris and Cecelia 'Baba' Souvenir. His cherished siblings Maxwell (Lauren) Souvenir, Yuette Souvenir, Rhonda Souvenir, Esther (Courtney) Grant, Lois Souvenir and honorary big brother Larry O'Field. He also leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends like family.

He is predeceased by maternal grandparents Earl and Inez 'Maud' Clarke, paternal grandparents Virgil and Elise 'Eloise' Souvenir, and oldest brother Mark Souvenir.

A virtual memorial service for Asquith will be held at a later date. Arrangements by M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
