Augusta E. Alviti, 102, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 20, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Chicago Heights, IL, she was the daughter of the late Filippo and Anna (Cerrone) Christofanelli.

Augusta was raised in Chicago Heights, IL.  In 1943, she married Lorenzo Umberto Alviti at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Alviti predeceased her on April 14, 1979.  In her younger years, Augusta worked in a Dress Factory in Chicago Heights, and was also employed at Dixie Hat Store, Robert Hall Clothing Store, as well as a local Candy Concession and Movie Theatre in Niagara Falls, NY.  Augusta enjoyed cooking, sewing dresses for friends, playing bingo, and playing the organ, which she learned later in life.  Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Augusta is survived by her sons, Ronald (Sarah) Alviti and Dennis (Rita) Alviti; her grandchildren, Craig Alviti, Christine (David) Din, Paul (Allison) Alviti, Jennifer (William) Best, Dennis (BounLome) Alviti, Jr., Marlene (Dave) Mileham, Amy Alviti and Benjamin Alviti; 17 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Dominic Christofanelli, Albert (late Zef) Christofanelli, and Faustina (late Ernest) Pulcini.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25 ^th from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will begin on Thursday at 10:15 AM followed by Augusta's Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Parish at 11 AM St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility, 5825 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
