Avon A. Lewis, 60, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 3, 2023 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Fort Deposit, AL, he was the son of Earl Williams and the late Betty Lee (Lewis) Bailey.

Avon attended schools in Alabama, where he graduated from High School.  He came to the Niagara Falls area 35 years ago, and was employed as a cleaner at Niagara University for 10 years.  Avon loved watching football, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide, and also enjoyed cooking.  Most of all, he loved playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family.

In addition to his father, Avon is survived by his companion of 15 years, Lisa Toarmino; his children, Monique Lewis and Jordan Wilkinson, US Army; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Andrea Jamroz of Arizona, Lisa McAdoo of Fallsburg, NY, and Naeemah Williams of Detroit, MI, as well as several step-brothers and step-sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
