Barbara Joan Bellanca, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on July 25, 2024 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born on September 26, 1945 in Orono, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Dana and Eleanor (Morrison) Pelletier.  She married the love of her life, Phillip J. Bellanca in 1983.  Mr. Bellanca preceded her in death in 2004.

Barb was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, where she was a wonderful Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Friend to all who knew her.  She worked briefly for James Maroon with her first husband Jarrel Shelly doing siding and roofing work.  She later held waitress positions at the Georgian House of Pancakes, Denny's and Carly's.  Most recently, she was employed at American Pharmaceutical for 20 years until her retirement in 2003.

Phil and Barb lived, laughed, loved and traveled from coast-to-coast on motorcycles with their friends in the Over the Hill Gang.  Avid members of the Corvette Club, they enjoyed travelling to wineries in their 1978 Corvette Official Pace-car.   Barb loved bowling, lawn bowling, and playing bocce with her friends.

Barbara is survived by her son, Jarrel (Jeannie) Shelly; her daughters, Tammy (late Michael) Schreiner and Kathy (Robert, NFFD Ret.) Trane; her grandchildren, Dwayne, Aimee, Jonathan, Matthew, Jocelyn and Barbie; 10 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Diana (late Bill) Hunter, Kathy (Dana) Carson, Eileen (late Frank) Pelletier; her sister-in-law, Betty Baugher, her beloved dog, Mama Mia, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband of 21 years, she was predeceased by her son, Timothy Shelly, her brother, Frank, and her sisters, Marlyn (Leroy) and Paulette.
