Barbara A. DeMunda, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in West Wyoming, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Capizzi) Rizzo.

Barbara moved to Niagara Falls with her family as a child and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On November 17, 1951, she married her beloved husband, Joseph DeMunda at St. Joseph Church.

Barbara began working at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls and was currently employed as a sales representative for Avon Products for over 50 years. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church. She was also a longtime member of the Socialites Senior Club and the Travel Club.

Barbara was an avid reader and enjoyed tending to her garden. She was very devoted to her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She also cherished the special bond she shared with her nieces.

In addition to her husband of 68 years, Mrs. DeMunda is survived by her son, Gary (Karri) DeMunda; five grandchildren, Bianca (James Butera) DeMunda, Joseph DeMunda, Brittany (Erick) Cramer, Alexis Nichols and Justin Nichols; one great-grandchild, Emma Cramer; her sister Shirley (Joseph) Murgia; sister-in-law Frances DeMunda and cousin Carmella Vendetti, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Carmella Fiorello, and was also the sister-in-law of the late Mary (late Dominic) Totoro, late Rose (late Charles) Buscemi, late Frank (late Evelyn) DeMunda, late Julia (late Sam) Ricotta, late Thomas DeMunda, late John (Anna Mary) DeMunda and the late Anthony (late Angeline) DeMunda.

Due to recent circumstances, funeral services with entombment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held privately for the family. A Public Memorial Mass will take place at a later date to be announced. Arrangements by M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL.
