Barbara A. Jones, 87, of Cheektowaga, NY, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at OLP Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Fulton) Hajewski.

Raised in Buffalo, Barb graduated from Hutchinson Central Technical High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Michigan University.

On September 16, 1967, she married her beloved husband, Arthur Jones, beginning a life marked by devotion and partnership. They first lived in Arthur’s hometown of Hamilton, Ontario before settling in Cheektowaga, where they raised their son and daughter.

When her children were older, Barb worked as the office manager at a local dental practice. She was also heavily involved with the Eastern Bicycle Association, supporting Arthur, their son, Scott and their daughter, Shannon, as they competitively raced BMX throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario. Barb’s dedication to their racing years was a reflection of her unwavering commitment to her family, always present and proud. Barb also had a lifelong love for music but above all, she treasured the time spent with her family.

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Barb is survived by her two children, Shannon (Chuck) Barber and Scott (Erin) Jones and her five grandchildren, Erika Jones, David Jones, Matthew Barber, Zachary Barber and Brooke Barber.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 6 from 2 – 4 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 4:00 PM.
