Barbara A. Romano, 73, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Saturday April 11, 2020 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late, Albert and Nancy (Mancuso) DeMunda.

Barbara graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1964 and from D'Youville College with a Bachelor's Degree in 1968.  She married Fred Romano on July 6, 1974. Barbara was employed for 28 years with the Niagara Falls City School District, teaching Business at Niagara Falls Sr. High School, South Jr. High School and LaSalle Sr. High School.

Barbara loved to read and enjoyed meeting monthly for lunch with her dear friends from high school.  Barbara's life centered around her family and she truly loved spending time with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 45 years Fred Romano, her sisters, Raffaela (Robert) Pullo and Louise (Angelo) Massaro; nieces and nephews, Raffaela (Thomas) Petrasek, Dominic (Susan) Pullo, Maria Massaro, Nancimarie (Brian) Colistra and Dominic (Krista) Massaro; great-nieces and great-nephews, Anthony, Hailey and Giovanni Pullo, Giancarlo and Alianna Colistra, Ella, Dominic and Sophie Massaro; her cousin Elaine Tavano who was as a sister to Barbara.

Due to recent circumstances, funeral services with interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery will be held privately for the family.  A public Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced.  Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, 621 10 ^th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14302 or Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Arrangements by M.J.
