Barbara E. (Nichols) Rufrano, 77 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on December 16, 2017 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility after a lengthy illness.  Born March 6, 1940 in West Decatur, PA, she was the daughter of the late, John G. and Frances (Litten) Nichols.

Barbara worked in several restaurants throughout the city for many years before her illness.  Her hobbies included, ceramics, playing cards with friends, horseracing and many other games of chance.

Barbara received wonderful care from all of her caregivers at Nursing Home 2 of Schoellkopf Nursing Facility during the past two years.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael D. Rufrano, three sons, John Celeste, Michael (Michelle) Celeste, Guido Celeste and a brother Walter (Carol) Nichols all of Niagara Falls, NY.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Barbara was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer Celeste, brother John G. (Theresa) Nichols and sister Margaret (Frank) Ficcara.
