Barbara A. (Lentine) Scalzo, 72 of the Town of Niagara, NY passed away on Friday April 26, 2013 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Denitto) Lentine.

Barb was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On October 3, 1959, she married Frank J. Scalzo at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. During the 1970's, Barb worked for Niagara County as a secretary. Barbara's great pleasure in life was spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband of fifty three years, Barbara is survived by her two sons, Joseph Scalzo of Florida and Frank Scalzo of Town of Niagara, NY, three grandchildren, Nina Scalzo, Frank Scalzo and Gino Scalzo, one sister Beverly (Louis) Lucatra of Florida. She was the daughter-in-law of Fannie (late Albert) Scalzo and sister-in-law of Jeanette "Julia" (late Dominic "Donny") Fera, Maryann (Bruno) Mercurio, and Patricia (Clifford "Kenny") Calvello. She is also survived by her special cousins, Roland Rosati, Rita Dupree and Renee Rodriguez, her special friends, Mary Ann Corieri, Louise Volpe, Sandy Pasquantino, Marie Jemiolo and Edwina Luksch, as well as one aunt, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 30th at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY with Rev. Joseph Denitto officiating. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY.
