Beatrice (Cataldo) Evans, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Jenny (DiPrima) Cataldo.

Beatrice was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1946. Following high school, she was employed as a clerical worker at the Carborundum Co. in Niagara Falls until her marriage. On September 6, 1952, she married Robert F. Evans at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls. Beatrice was a former member of the Women's Bowling Association and an avid, accomplished left handed bowler who received various awards for her achievements. She also enjoyed Bingo, playing Euchre and was an exceptional Italian cook. Above all, Beatrice always emphasized the importance of family. She cherished the times spent at family gatherings, as well as skyping and emailing with her great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of sixty one years, Beatrice is survived by four children Roberta (Dale) Smeal, Sandy Evans, Michael Evans and John Evans; three grandchildren Shannon (David) Acosta, Terry (Becky) Camann and Christopher (Christina) Camann; three great grandchildren Anthony, Aaron and Elise; one brother John Cataldo and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister Angela Barbero.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 30th from 4 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Private interment will be St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY at the convenience of the family.
