Bernadine A. (Briggs) Caccese, 96, of Niagara Falls, NY, went on to be with the Lord October 15, 2018 at Shore Winds Nursing Home in Rochester, NY, where she resided for the past two years. Born on September 27, 1922, in Greenwood, NY, she was the loving daughter of the late John and Flossie Briggs of Ontario, NY.

Bernie graduated from Andover High School in 1940. On August 5, 1950, she married Robert R. Caccese at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in North Tonawanda, NY. Mr. Caccese predeceased her on October 11, 1994. Bernie lived in Niagara Falls for most of her life and retired from the National Biscuit Company.

Bernie was happiest spending time with her family, crocheting, pottery, traveling and reading.

Bernie is survived by her daughters, Dr. Pamela (Jim) Bryan, Michele (Jerry) Cavalieri-Pozzuolo; her grandsons, Jay and Sean Bryan, Nicole and Anthony Pozzuolo; her great-grandchildren Ayla and Jace Bryan, and Ariella Pozzuolo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cathy (Chris) Ryan, as well as her siblings Everett (Dorothy) Briggs, Gertrude (Burton) Thayer, Milton (Evelyn) Briggs, Raymond (Eleanor) Briggs, Jessamine (Donald) Brustman and Clyde (Bernice) Briggs.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 20 ^th from 10:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will follow at 12:30 P.M. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
