Bette J. Pellegrino, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY died peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Sophie (Kuffchalk) Czar and was born on July 6, 1929 in Philipsburg, PA, where she attended local schools.

In 1954, Bette moved to Niagara Falls, NY and was employed by the former Beirs Department store and additionally worked as a Dental Assistant for several local dentists, including Dr. Louis Kramer.

In 1960, Bette married Angelo (Jeep) Pellegrino, who predeceased her on July 10, 1984.  Bette enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading, and had a love for all animals, particularly her beloved cat, Tia Maria.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Bette was predeceased by siblings George Czar, William Czar, John Czar, Mary Sloppy, Margaret Thompson and Sophie Rodgers. She was also predeceased by long-time companion, James Allen. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Bette's dear friends, Peter and Paul Barto, for their many acts of kindness throughout her life.  Additional appreciation is extended to April Daniels and her home care staff for tending to Bette in her final months with compassion and dignity.

There will be no visitation. Private interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara County SPCA or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements by M.J.
