Betty Louise Buck, age 88 of Niagara Falls, NY went home to her lord on Wednesday,  January 22, 2020.  Born on January 17, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth (Soliday) Hoover. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Harold Buck on October 30, 1975.

Betty started working in 1965 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, working in the cafeteria, and did most of their sewing in the laundry room until her retirement.  Betty was very gifted with creating beautiful crafts, crocheting, knitting and quilting. She was also a longtime member of Prince of Peace Church.

Betty is survived by her sister in law, Sally (Fred) Buck and many nieces and nephews in Niagara Falls and Pennsylvania; her dear nieces, Elisabeth Buck and Valerie Balbo. She also leaves behind a special friend, Brother Francis Murray O.S.F.S.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Samuel (Eilen Nennoff) Hoover, Lee Hoover, Hazel (Elwood) Buck, Ernest (Montana) Hoover, Clarence Hoover and Judith (Delbert) Ambrosia.  Her Sister Judith had been her devoted caregiver for many years until her passing.

The family of Betty would like thank the third floor staff at Schoellkopf nursing home for their excellent care and compassion she received while residing there for the last three months and also to her aides from Mt. View assisted living, Lockport, where she resided for two and a half years.

Visitation will begin Monday morning, January 27 ^th from 9:00 a.m – 11:00 a.m at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where prayers will follow at 11:15 a.m. followed by Betty's Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, 14304.  Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
