Blanche P. (Hill) Stein, 81, formerly of Youngstown, NY, died on Monday February 28, 2011 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, NY. Born in Bennington, VT she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lida (Burgess) Hurley.

Blanche was raised and educated in Vermont, and moved to Youngstown, NY in 1958. She later relocated to Tampa, FL where she resided for thirty years until returning to the area. While living in Florida, Blanche was very active in her church and enjoyed singing in their choir.

Blanche was predeceased by her husband Peter G. Hill, and her later husband Dieter Stein. She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Darlene (James) Wilson of Youngstown, NY; Vivian (John) DiCarlo of Ft. Myers, FL; Robert P. (Pamela) Hill of Youngstown, NY; Joy (Robert) Monroe of Newfane, NY and John (June) Hill of Bloomsburg, PA, she was beloved Nanna to, James (Shelly) Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Jennifer (Shawn Campbell) DiCarlo, Douglas (Heidi) Hill, Joshua (Tammi) Hill, Nicholas (Erin) Hill, Rebecca (Kevin) Hoefer, Katherine (Jim) Follen, Zachery (Naomi) Hill, Nashua (Megan) Hill, Cody Hill, and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was the loving sister of, Jane (late John) Just of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and late Therese (Arthur of Bennington, VT) Simmons.
She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
