Bruce G. Reid, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Tuesday August 14, 2012 at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada he was the son of the late Samuel A. and Anne (Fox) Reid.

Bruce attended school in Hamilton, Ontario and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Michigan State University in Lasing, MI. While at Michigan State, he was also a member of their hockey team. After college, Bruce moved to the Niagara Falls area. In November of 1979, he married Julia (McGill) Reid at the former Wintergarden in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Reid predeceased him in 2009. He was employed as a bartender at La Casa Cardenas in Niagara Falls, NY. Bruce enjoyed going to OTB, Clancy's and Club Joey's as well as various other local establishments in Niagara Falls, NY. Bruce also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bruce is survived by three children Karisa Reid of Niagara Falls, NY; Joshua (fiancé Jamie Haseley) Reid of the Town of Niagara and Aaron (Shannon Bradley) Reid of Niagara Falls, NY; seven grandchildren Aleigha, Avery, Abby-Rose, Julia, Sammy, Colton and Carter; two sisters Judy (Philip) Norrish and Lynda (Larry) Laufman both of Hamilton, ON, Canada and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Sunday August 19th from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment at the convenience of the family will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston NY.
