Cameron M. Weingartner, 44, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 26, 2017 at Erie County Medical Center.  After a lengthy hospital stay from an August 30 ^th , 2016 assault, Cameron passed away from complications of his traumatic brain injury.  Born on December 31, 1972 in Warren, PA, he was the son of Deborah L. (Case) (Kirby) Johnson and the late Paul F. Weingartner.

Cameron was employed at Precious Plate in Niagara Falls, NY for 22 years, most recently as a Production Manager and Supervisor.  He enjoyed walking the Niagara Gorge with his children, golfing with his friends from work.  In addition, he also enjoyed skydiving, running 5K marathons, and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.

Cameron is the cherished father of Ashley E. Hoover, Kristyn M. Wasikowski, Dana C. Weingartner and Cameron J. Weingartner; dear grandfather of Aleenah R. Hoover Banks; brother of Jodi Bass and the late. SSG Aram J. Bass; grandson of Susanne H. (late Richard) Case; uncle of Dwon M. Daniels Jr., NeddaeVion E. Parmer and Ava Aram Daniels; lifelong friend of Jay Joaquin, Noelle Swain and Jamey Janik; special friend of Christal Pietricone; and his work family at Precious Plate. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cameron's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the TICU, 7th Floor Medical/Surgical Unit, 8th Floor North and the 6th Floor Zone 2 at Erie County Medical Center for the kind and compassionate care given to Cameron during his time of need.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1 from 4 – 5 PM, at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Ave, Niagara Falls, NY, where a Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Autism Society of Western New York, 19 Limestone Drive, Buffalo, NY 14221 or WNY Heroes Inc., 8203 Main St #11, Williamsville, NY 14221.
