Carmela (Falbo) Curcione, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday May 15, 2012 at Elderwood Healthcare at Crestwood in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Gigliotti) Falbo.

Carmela was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On December 3, 1949 she married Americo B. "Bunky" Curcione in Pennsylvania. Mr. Curcione predeceased her on June 22, 2010. Carmela and her husband worked at St. John DeLaSalle Church in Niagara Falls, NY for several years and she also worked at the front ticket office of the Niagara Falls Hyde Park Ice Rink. She also attended St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. Carmela enjoyed spending time with her family and having friends over for coffee and conversation. She also loved baking her Italian cookies. Carmela had a "special love" for her late husband and was his caregiver for many years.

Mrs. Curcione is survived by two sons Fred (Kathy) Curcione of the Town of Niagara; Paul (Sharlene) Curcione of Lawrenceville, GA; five grandchildren Paul (Holly) Curcione, Matthew (Jen) Curcione, Timothy (Kristy) Curcione, Mary (Justin) Winstel and Brittany (Chris) Coker, two sisters Anna (late Joseph) Casale of the Town of Niagara and Eva (William) Corbin of Troy, MI; one brother Carmen (Gloria) Falbo of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister Rosie (Angelo of Niagara Falls, NY) Rizzo.

Visitation will be on Friday May 18th from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where a funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
