Carmen W. Luna, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Monday, May 5, 2014 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in South Mahoning, PA he was the son of the late Dominic and Angela (Carilli) Luna.

Carmen was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army and on June 28, 1947 he married Mary T. (Tamburrino) Luna at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. Mrs. Luna predeceased him on March 16, 2004. Carmen worked as a laborer at Olin Matheson Corp. and later as a mailman at Hooker Chemical Company both in Niagara Falls, NY. He then worked as a laborer with Laborers Local 91 also in Niagara Falls until he retired in 1987. Carmen was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. In his leisure time he enjoyed bowling and through the years he participated in various leagues. He also liked spending time with his family and friends and especially enjoyed playing cards with them. Following his retirement he enjoyed going for long walks and gardening. Most of all, Carmen was a very kind and gentle man who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Carmen is survived by one son Peter V. (Patty-Jo) Luna of Niagara Falls, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother-in-law of Lillian (late Sam) Tamburrino of Niagara Falls, NY. Carmen was predeceased by five brothers Joseph Luna, Peter Luna, Frank Luna, Albert Luna, Salvatore Luna, five sisters Grace Cambria, Mary Griffo, Rose Pfenning, Carmella Hagen, Ann LeBay and one sister-in-law Catherine "Kay" (late John) Porreca.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 10th at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev.
