Carmine (Soprano) Macri, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Saturday October 3, 2009 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Paul and Cecelia (Fratello) Soprano. On April 16, 1950 she married Joseph Macri in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Macri predeceased her on December 8, 1991.

Carmine attended local schools and graduated with a Regents Diploma from Niagara Falls High School. She worked as a clerk at the Niagara County Department of Social Service for 22 years, retiring in 1998. Always energetic, Carmine returned to work as a lunch associate at Lasalle Preparatory School in Niagara Falls, where she has currently worked for the past 11 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cristoforo Colombo Society in Niagara Falls. In her leisure, Carmine enjoyed shopping and was known for her daily visit to Tops and Wegmans. Most importantly her life centered on her family, and her vibrant and dynamic personality will always be cherished.

Survivors include three children Thomas A. Macri, Barbara J. (Myles) Blest, both of Niagara Falls, NY, and Michael J. (Valerie) Macri of Lewiston, NY; seven grandchildren Kellie (Christopher) Templeman, Joseph Macri (fiancée Rachael), Randall (Valerie) Burns, Michael (Jennifer) Macri, Gina Macri (fiancée Nick), Myles Patrick (Michelle) Blest, Jr., and Danielle Barbiero; three great-grandchildren McKenna, Mairenn, and Myles III; her special friend Robin Lundy; two sisters Louise (Pascal) Grenga of Niagara Falls, NY, Pauline (late Joseph) Dimino of Lewiston, NY and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Mary (late Leonard) Deuro.

Friends may call Monday from 3 – 8 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
