Carol D.(Bonfiglio) Vickers, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Wednesday March 28, 2012 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Fredonia, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Rosemary (Caccamise) Bonfiglio. She was predeceased by her husband William Vickers.

Carol came to Niagara Falls as a child with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. For more than fifty years, she owned and operated The Plaza Restaurant formerly located on Third Street in Niagara Falls, NY. Carol was a former member of St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. She was a sports enthusiast and avid fan of the Buffalo Sabres hockey team. But most of all, Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Vickers is survived by two sons John (Karla) Vickers of Carlisle, KY and Robert (Marina) Vickers of Niagara Falls, NY; three grandchildren Robert, Tracey and Keri, several great grandchildren, one sister Joan (late Russell) Nocero of Jamestown, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday April 2nd at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
