Carol A. Volk (nee DeFazio), 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ann (Badolato) DeFazio.

Carol was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On August 24, 1996, she married Thomas Volk, NFPD, Ret. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island, where she became a faithful member after her marriage.  Carol owned and operated Hairitage Hair Salon in Grand Island, NY for over 20 years until her retirement in 2014.  Carol loved visiting with her friends.  She was very devoted to her family. She cherished her dogs, especially Shampoo.  Carol was an avid New York Yankees and Buffalo Sabres fan, and enjoyed attending games with her husband.  She also loved vacationing, especially their annual trips to Tybee Island, GA.

In addition to her husband of 26 years, Carol is survived by her sons, Kevin (Lisa) Edwards and David Edwards; her step-son, Eric (Janet) Volk; her grandchildren, Erica Edwards, Vincent Edwards, Brittanee Ramallo, Jakob Ramallo, and Quinn Volk; her brother, Ron (late Kathy) DeFazio, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 7 PM.  Interment in Trinity United Methodist Cemetery, Grand Island, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.
