Caroline A. D'Andreamatteo, 93, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Washington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Filemenia (Zacarria) Colosi.
Caroline came to Niagara Falls in 1947 with her family and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1952. On June 9, 1956, she married, Philip D'Andreamatteo, at St. Joseph's Church. Philip predeceased her on June 30, 2012.
Carol worked at Walker Laundry for 14 years and later at St. Mary's Hospital, where she was fondly known as "Carol D." She dedicated 39 years to the hospital before retiring and was honored as Employee of the Year in 2001.
Carol was a devout Catholic and longtime member of the ISDA Volare Lodge #269. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, visiting the casino, and completing crossword puzzles. She took special joy in maintaining family traditions, and her life centered around the family she cherished so deeply.
She is the beloved mother of Philip D'Andreamatteo, Cindy (Michael) Olszewski, Terri D'Andreamatteo, and Lisa (Michael) Scerra; loving grandmother of Philip III and Marina D'Andreamatteo, Chanel (Ryan), Christina (Abdul), Michael Olszewski, and Michael Scerra; and cherished great-grandmother to Ibiria, Olivia, Emma, and Ryan. She is also the dear sister of Tony (late Janet) Colosi.
Carol is also survived by her special nephews, Anthony Spendio, Eugene Campigotto, and Joey Colosi, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two infant sons, Girard and Angelo; her great-granddaughter, Gianna; and four siblings, Mario (late Mary) Colosi, Nancy (late Eugene) Campigotto, Joe (late Jackie) Colosi, and Carmen Colosi.
Funeral services and entombment will be held on Friday, January 9, at 2:00 PM, at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3806 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
