Carolyna M. Capolupo, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on September 25, 2020 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mariangela (Rosignuolo) Capolupo.

Carolyna was raised in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Nazareth College, and her Master's Degree in Social Work from St. Louis University.  She was employed in social work for all of her adult life, working as the Director of Social Services for Deaconess Hospital in Buffalo and Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Lackawanna, retiring in 1997.

Carolyna was a past president of the Social Work Club of Buffalo.  She loved to travel, visiting many places around the world.  She was devoted deeply to her family and served as their matriarch. She was their guiding light.  Above all, Carolyna will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Carolyna is survived by her sister, Claudia Capolupo; her niece, Elizabeth (Nicholas) Buscaglia and her nephew, Vincent McConeghy; her great niece and nephews, Alex Balmer, Carolyna McConeghy and Matthew McConeghy; her dear family, Mark (Michele) Gabriele and Caroline (Kevin) Pofi, as well as several cousins.  She was predeceased by her sister, Concetta (Alex) McConeghy.

Her family would like to extend their appreciation to her caregivers that looked after and aided her in her final years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 2 at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Cataract R.C. Church, 237 4 ^th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303.  Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  Arrangements by M.J.
