Dr. Casmer E. Leone, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 peacefully at home with his beloved wife of 70 years Elpina (Marinello) Leone while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Ignazio and Josephine (Lazarra) Leone.

Dr. Leone was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. He graduated from Niagara University and later earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant. Dr. Leone was a well known dedicated physician and practiced medicine in Niagara Falls, NY for forty seven years. He was a caring physician who touched the lives of many and was highly respected by his colleagues. Dr. Leone will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him

In addition to his beloved wife, Dr. Leone is survived by seven children, Marilyn (Bernard) Santa Maria of Atlanta, GA; Karen (David) Jamarusty of Ithaca, NY; Richard (Melba) Leone of Charlotte, NC; Janis Leone of Cobourg, Ontario, Canada; Thomas Leone of San Diego, CA; Michael (Kathleen) Leone of Wilmington, NC; and Ronald Leone of Columbia, MO and was loved and admired by thirteen grandchildren and nine great grand children. He is also survived by one brother, Joseph (late Rosalie) Leone of Lewiston, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dr. Leone was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers; Jack (late Caroline) Leone, Esther (late Buddy) Mule, Frances (late Daniel) DeSantis, Petrina (late Nick) Martino and Anthony Leone.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday March 7th at 11 a.m. in St. Raphael's Church, 3840 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating with Military Honors. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
