Catherine P. "Kay" Martinez, 94 of Niagara Falls, NY, was called home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2022 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Starford, PA. she was the daughter of the late Gasper and Frances (Corsaro) Porto.

Kay, as she was affectionately known, married her beloved husband Frank B. Martinez, Sr. on November 15, 1947. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Niagara County Community College receiving her Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse.

Catherine was employed with Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as a Registered Nurse ministering to her patients for over 30 years. She was a former group leader and member of the Women of the Word Bible Study and the Spanish Women's Club. Kay enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning, most of all centering her life around her loving family.

In addition to her husband of 75 years, Catherine is survived by her children, Darcy Martinez, Corrine "Corry" (John) Cochol, Frank (Teresa) Martinez, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Martinez; Grandchildren, Andrea Woolf, Stephen (Chelsea) Woolf, Bethany (Fred) Lang, Leah (Bobby) Kraft, Jessica (Pete) Crispino, Douglas Minteer, Danielle (George) Lloyd, Liana DeLara, Frank Martinez III and Benjamin Martinez; 9 great grandchildren, siblings: Gabriel "Buddy" (late Josephine) Porto and Georgina "Tootsie" (Al) Clark as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Tara Martinez Woolf and siblings: James (late Regina) Porto, Nancy (late Larry) Albee, Margaret (late James) Vaccarella, Jeanne Porto and Gloria (late Dominic) Lariccia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24 from 3 -7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where Kay's prayer services will follow at 7 PM with the Women of the Word Bible Study officiating.
