Catherine M. (Ferrara) Pane, 93, of Lewiston NY, died on Wednesday December 12, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Lodico) Ferrara.

Catherine attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On June 25, 1941 she married Dominic P. Pane at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Pane predeceased her on September 11, 2007. She was a resident of Niagara Falls until moving to Lewiston in 1970. Catherine was employed as a sales associate at various department stores throughout the area and in the late 1930's she was a buyer for the former Montgomery Ward's in Niagara Falls. When her daughters were young, Catherine volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for 4th and 5th graders at the former Cleveland Avenue School in Niagara Falls. She was also a thirty year volunteer with the St. Francis Guild at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital and was also a member of the Lewiston Seniors, and St. Peter's Church Seniors, all in Lewiston, NY.

Mrs. Pane is survived by one daughter Cathleen Jo (Tom) Cunningham of Youngstown, NY and was predeceased by one daughter, Janice Pane, on July 1, 2009. She is also survived by three grandchildren Angela Matusik (Chad Hunt), Patrick Dick and Michael (Sandy) Dick, four great grandchildren Caitlyn Dick, Tyler Dick, Addison Dick and Isadora Hunt as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by three sisters and one brother, Nina (late Alfred) Granite, Jeannette (late Joseph) Paone, John Ferrara and Rosaline Suri.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Wednesday December 19th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's R.C. Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY with Rev. Michael Zuffoletto officiating. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
