Cathleen C. Heckeler, 73, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Northgate Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harold V. and Rose C. (Eracitano) Clark, and the loving wife of the late Scott B. Heckeler, whom she married in 1984.

Cathy was a proud graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She began her career as a teacher's aide in the Starpoint School District, where she loved working with children. Later, she retired from Niagara County Community College.

Cathy had a deep love for music and enjoyed dancing and singing. She was extremely active and enjoyed exercising and participating in Zumba classes. Tending to her garden also brought her great joy and serenity. Above all, Cathy cherished the time spent with her family. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her dedication to her family and community, and her boundless enthusiasm for life.

Cathy is survived by her children, Caitlin (Tom) Brooks and Brian (Hope) Heckeler; her adored grandchildren, Summer and Sofia Heckeler, and Kinley and Kacey Brooks; her siblings, Cleo (late Robert) Jones, Claudia (Cam) Austin, Harold (Debi) Clark, Candy (Tim) Nolle, and Leona (Kerry) McCarthy, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A celebration of Cathy's life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at stjude.org in her memory. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
