Cesare Francini, 86, of Lewiston, NY, died on Wednesday May 15, 2013 at his residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in the Republic of San Marino, he was the son of the late Guarino and Emilia (Ciavatta) Francini.
On May 7, 1955 Cesare married Denise S. (DiFruscia) Francini in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Mrs. Francini predeceased him on June 24, 1999. He was employed as a master carpenter by Forgione Lumber Yard, currently known as Niagara Wholesale Supply in Niagara Falls, NY for more than sixty years until retiring in January 2012. Throughout his lifetime, Cesare took great pride in his carpentry skills. In his younger days, he enjoyed spending time on the lake with family and friends from San Marino. He also liked bowling and hockey and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Sabres. He was an excellent cook as well, but most of all, Cesare loved his family and many friends and was a servant to them all.
Mr. Francini is survived by one daughter Virginia (Frank Sr.) Garcia of Lewiston, NY; two grandchildren Frank (Laura) Garcia, Jr. of Kenmore, NY and Dana (Travis) Senokosoff of Clifton Park, NY; four great grandchildren Joshua, Alaina and Sarah Garcia and Luke Senokosoff, one brother Virgilio (Iole) Francini of Michigan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother Peter (Elsa) Francini.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Friday May 17th at 11:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. John Graden, O.S.F.S. officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
