Charlene M. (Hayes) Toarmino 67 of Niagara Falls, NY was called home to her Heavenly Father Friday March 4, 2011 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. She was born March 14, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY to her parents Harriet M (Foote) Hayes of Wheatfield, NY and the late Charles L. Hayes, Jr.

Charlene was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High School. She married her beloved husband of 49 years John Toarmino at St. John de LaSalle Church, Niagara Falls, NY. Charlene worked as a receptionist for Hair Crafters, Niagara Falls, NY and recently retired in 2008.

Charlene was a spiritual person and enjoyed attending healing masses. She studied Theology and was a devout Christian. She enjoyed cross word puzzles and completed about 3,000 puzzles. Charlene also enjoyed going to the casino with her older sister, watching private eye movies and playing "Name that tune" with oldies songs with her brother. She also was an avid Sabres and Yankees fan and loved watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune on TV. Among all else, she adored and loved her family and friends. She loved people and was very thoughtful, considerate and compassionate to everyone.

In addition to her Husband and Mother, Mrs.Toarmino is survived by her son Daniel Toarmino of Niagara Falls, NY; One brother and two sisters; Danielle (Anthony) Fama of Niagara Falls, NY, Charles E. (Martha) Hayes of Grand Island, NY and Jeanine (Phillip) Rotella of Wilson, NY ; Brothers-in-law Leo (Ruth) Toarmino, Samuel (Pat) Toarmino both of Niagara Falls, NY; Sisters-in-law Anne (Peter) Stinis of Niagara Falls, NY and Jenny (Larry) Griffen of Nova Scotia. She is also survived by her Aunt Jenny Waldman of California and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday March 7th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church 2748 Military Rd, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
