Charles A. Carlino, 84, of Niagara Falls passed away on September 16, 2022 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Edoardo and Annunziata (Costa) Carlino.

Charles was a 1956 graduate of Trott Vocational.  He served proudly in the United States Army from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1962, where he trained at Fort Knox, KY and was later stationed at Fort Eustis, VA.  In 1960, he married Bernice N. (Drabcyk) Carlino.  Mrs. Carlino predeceased him on March 29, 2003.

Charles was employed at DuPont in Niagara Falls for 37 years – 21 as a machinist and 16 as a cell builder - retiring in 1992.  While at DuPont, he spent many years as a union representative and as Chairman of the Health and Safety Committee as well as Chairman of the DuPont Credit Union Committee.   Charles also was on the Democratic Party Committee for many terms.  He also spent many enjoyable years as a member of Dante's Social Club as well as the Gill Creek Social Club.  Charles was an avid bowler and golfer, and enjoyed golfing with his wife and their good friends.  In addition, Charles was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants Football Team.  He spent his retirement in Florida for the winters, returning home in the summers.

Charles is survived by his children, David (Cynthia) Carlino, Debbie Carlino, and Anna Marie (William) Forgione; his grandchildren, Dominic Carlino, Charles Carlino, and Danielle (Ernest) Carlino; 2 great-grandchildren, Iriana and Harper, as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife of 43 years, he was predeceased by his siblings, Pauline (late Gerald) Dempsey, Samuel (late Elpida) Carlino, Susie (late Ted) Promowicz, and an infant sister, Paulina Carlino.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:45 AM, followed by Charles' Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 27 ^th and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, with Military Honors.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
