Charles E. Curtis, 65, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on November 14, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Mill Creek, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Curtis and Edith Jean Cook.
Charles was a graduate from East Liverpool High School in Ohio. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the US Army Artillery Division during the Vietnam Era until his honorable discharge. He was employed by Double Down Transportation until his retirement in 2008. Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman but above all enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as G-pa.
Charles is survived by his two children, Michael Curtis and Claire Curtis; five grandchildren, Angelo, Manuel, Nino, Elise and Kyleigh; four brothers, John Johnson, Jerry Kepler, Brady Reece and Greg Curtis, one sister, Robin Beebee and several nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas Curtis, Darell Johnson, and Victor Curtis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Friday at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors.
