Charles 'Chuck' D. Hardy, 59, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Monday June 18, 2012. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the beloved son of the late Kenneth D. and Jessie I. (Thomas) Hardy.
Chuck attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1970. He owned and operated the former Hardy's Collision Shop in Niagara Falls, NY and later worked at Basil Ford in Cheektowaga. He was currently the manager of the Collision Center at Mike Smith Buick in Lockport, NY. Chuck had a passion for detailing cars, riding and building motorcycles and drag racing. He was also an avid hunter and especially liked going on hunting trips with his son Anthony, as well as trap shooting at the LaSalle Sportsman Club in the Town of Niagara. Chuck also enjoyed golfing with his sons. Above all, Chuck's greatest love and joy was his family.
Mr. Hardy is survived by two sons, Charles A. (Amanda) Hardy of Hamburg, NY and Anthony J. Hardy of Lewiston, NY; his first grandchild on the way, the mother of his sons Jeannine (Nanula) Hardy of Sanborn, NY; three brothers, Donald T. (Gert) Hardy of Nacogdoches, TX; Ronald K. (Linda) Hardy of Niagara Falls, NY and Gary W. Hardy of Lewiston, NY; one sister Jacqueline A. Falsetti of Lewiston, NY, nineteen nieces and nephews, fourteen great-nieces and great-nephews and several cousins. He was predeceased by one brother John R. Hardy and his brother-in-law J. Robert Falsetti.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday June 22nd at10:30 a.m. at Whitehaven Road Baptist Church, 1290 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island, NY with Rev. Jeff Stimpson officiating.
