Obituary

Chuck Nocera, age 62, passed away July 30, 2019, born August 28, 1956.

Chuck obtained his Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Niagara University, with a Minor in Mathematics.  He worked at Elctro-Dyne Choke Corp and Moore Corp for a short time, and many different laboratories, including Praxair, Advanced Refractory Technologies, Unifrax, Dunlop Tire, Westwood Squibb, Goodyear Tire, and Alpha Analytical.  He received the American Institute of Chemist's award in 1990 and was a former member of KAPPA MU EPSILON mathematics honor society. He volunteered for the Head start program from 1993 – 1997.  He loved to paint and draw, and was an accomplished artist.  He was a great guitar player as well.   He loved music of all types but had an affinity for psychedelic rock from the mid to late 60's. He also loved early Genesis, America, CSNY, U2, Tears for Fears, Spirit, Joe Jackson, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, and many others.  Chuck also loved to skydive and made 74 jumps

Chuck always put others needs in front of his own, and was truly a caring human being.

He is survived by his mother Mary (Lanasa) Neadow; sisters, Rosemary Malicoat and Phyllis Heksch; brothers , Butch Nocera and Joe Nocera; sister/niece, Cindy Campbell; step brother, Alan Neadow; former sister-in-law, Emily Mordino and several nieces and nephews who he loved very much, including Nathan and Ruby Nocera, Kenny, Courtney, Kristin Campbell, Davey and Christine Heksch, Ancil, Maria, Matthew, Kevin, Brian, Andrew Malicoat, Kristen Mordino and Marshall Horton. Chuck was predeceased by his father, Gerald Nocera; stepfather, Virgil Neadow;niece, Donella Q. Nocera; brothers-in-law, Ancil Malicoat and David Heksch and his girlfriend Beverly Thomas.  Chuck was a hugely positive influence on many lives, and will be dearly missed.

Chuck donated his body to science. Chuck's Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements by M.J.
