Obituary

Charles J. Ponticello, 81, of Youngstown, NY, formerly of Rochester, NY, passed away December 21, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Francis A. Ponticello.

Charles graduated from Eastridge High School in Rochester where he played varsity basketball.  He received his Bachelor's Degree from St. Bonaventure University and attended the University of Madrid in Spain.  On August 6, 1966 he married his beloved wife Beverly (Cianciola) Ponticello in Rochester, NY.  Charles career was in sales, marketing and bartending where his customers often became friends as he always engaged them with a smile and a good-natured joke.   He was an avid College Basketball fan and enjoyed vacations with his family.   Charles had tremendous work ethic and above all was devoted to his family.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Charles is survived by his loving daughters, Laura Ponticello and Christina (Jason) Ponticello Orsi and the joy of his life his 3 grandsons, Russell Orsi and twins, Paul Orsi and Charles Orsi.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 28 from 10 AM - 1 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment will be at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery in Skaneateles, NY at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, https://www.niagarahospice.org/donate .
