Charles "Chuck" S. Monteleone, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday June 11, 2013 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Chuck was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY the son of Antonio and Grace (Choppolla) Monteleone.

Chuck attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1950. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Marine Corp with "E" Company 3 BN 1st Marine's with the 1st Marine Division from 1951 until his honorable discharge as a Sergeant in 1954. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with two stars, United Nation Service Metal and Republic of Korean War Service Medal. On April 7, 1956 he married Gwen J. (Cuttaia) Monteleone at Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls, NY. In 1958 Chuck and his wife moved to California where he became the proprietor of two family owned businesses Monte's Pizzeria in Woodland Hills, CA and Papa Monteleone's Italian Restaurant in West Hills, CA. In 2008 they returned to Niagara Falls, NY where he currently resided. Chuck's life was centered around his family and his love for cooking.

In addition to his wife of fifty seven years, Chuck is survived by three children Charles "Chas" S. Monteleone of Niagara Falls, NY; Kimberly Ann (Barry R. ) Kremple of Nevada City, CA; Teresa "Teri" (Richard L.) Chapman of West Hills, CA and was predeceased by one son Mark David Monteleone. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother Stephen Monteleone.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday June 19th at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY concluding with Military Honors.
