Charles A. Stauffer, 63, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 13, 2024 at his residence.  Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Guila 'Maxine' (Cantrell) Stauffer.

Charles was raised in Baltimore and Florida, where he graduated from High School.  As a child, he was very adventurous, whether he was out on his tricycle sneaking around the neighborhood or not flinching at age 5 when he was encountered by a Baby Bear while eating breakfast at Yellowstone National Park.  In the 1970s, he came to the Niagara Falls area.   Charles was employed as a Custodian with Wal Mart and Joe Cecconi's Chrysler Complex. On March 27, 2006, he married Wendy N. (Martinez) Stauffer in Las Vegas, NV.

Charles enjoyed model airplanes, a hobby he got into as a result of his father's career as a Flight Navigator.  He also loved science fiction, especially 2001: A Space Odessey, and was able to recite quotes word for word from the movie.  Charles was an animal lover, enjoying his dogs and cats, and cherished the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his beloved wife of 17 years, Charles is survived by his sister, Cindy Stauffer, 2 half-sisters, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

In accordance with Charles' wishes, there will be no prior visitation.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date to be announced.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Arrangements by M.J.
