Charles E. Wright, Sr., 85 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Plattsburgh, NY, he was the son of the late Maude (Irwin) Aughtman, Ernest Wright and the step-son of the late Odie Aughtman.

Chuck moved to Niagara Falls with his family as a child and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Niagara University in 1962. Chuck served in the United States Air Force Reserves for over 8 years and was active during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Chuck married his beloved wife, Margaret A. (Chick) Wright at the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church in 1958. She predeceased him on July 28, 1999.

Chuck owned and operated Wright Tax Service, and was also employed by Moore Business Forms as a Systems Analyst. He was dedicated to his work and traveled extensively for many years.

Chuck was a 4 ^th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a longtime member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed playing in Euchre leagues on Monday and Wednesday nights, as well as traveling and spending time with his family.

Mr. Wright is survived by his children Charles (Doreen) Wright, Jr. and William David "Bill" (Marcia) Wright; his grandchildren, Charles Wright III, Mia Wright, Tina (Kevin Jr.) Gracey, Terry (Tracy Damasiewicz) Wellsby and Lana (Kris) Walton; eight great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; his loving companion, Lina Voutour; his niece Christa-Jo (Bill); his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by his siblings, June (Bob) Trudel, Rachel Roy and Polly Roberts.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17 from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Chuck's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 12 Noon in Holy Family Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street & Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
