Christine R. "Chris" Marinello, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023 Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rosalie DeFazio. On May 22, 1965, she married Joseph A. 'Chubby' Marinello, who predeceased her on June 12, 2020.

Chris attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She later went on to work as a customer service representative at Nationwide Insurance Company until her retirement in 2004.

One of Christine's greatest loves was painting on glass and wood. She sold many pieces at several craft shows throughout Western New York. Christine loved traveling with her husband to many different countries, they had a fondness for Mexico. She also loved her weekly Friday night dinners with her husband. Chris loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as cooking holiday dinners for her family.

Chris is survived by her children, Joelle (David) Stapleton of Cheektowaga, NY and Joseph (Erin) Marinello of Niagara Falls, NY; six grandchildren, Nicholas and Breanna Stapleton, Aidan, Adriana Joseph III and Jolie Marinello; her siblings, Ronald (JoAnne) DeFazio, Monica (late James) Valentine; Michael DeFazio and Debra (Michael) Carrillo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 13 from 9 – 10 AM in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, where Christine's Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY .
