Christopher M. Kovacs, 59, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 26, 2020 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Steven and Mary (MacDonald) Kovacs.

Christopher earned his Associate's Degree from ITT Technical Institute.  He was self-employed as a Certified Electrician.  Most recently, he worked in catering for Metz Culinary Management at Niagara University.  Chris enjoyed fishing, painting, playing darts, crossword and sudoku puzzles, remodeling, carpentry, and watching country western movies. Above all, Chris especially enjoyed providing a helping hand to anyone in need.

In addition to his mother, Christopher is survived by his son, Steven 'Steve' Kovacs; his siblings, Susan (John) Kania, Guy (Patricia) Kovacs, Beth (Gary) Bigley, Wendy Kovacs, Timothy (Trudy) Kovacs, and Stephanie (Jennifer) Scott; his longtime best friend, Anthony Renda, his longtime partner, Renee Thompson, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his brother, Steven C. Kovacs.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5 from 4 – 6 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held at 6 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, P.
