Christopher M. Romney, 69, of Gasport, NY, passed away on April 8, 2022 at his residence.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Charlotte J. (Dalton) Romney and the late Edwin C. Romney.

Christopher grew up in Lewiston NY and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield. He went on to earn master's degrees in education from Buffalo State College and in education administration from Niagara University. In 1988, he married Christine Walker in Niagara Falls, NY.  Mrs. Walker predeceased him on March 25, 2020.  Christopher was employed for a time in his early years as a professional beekeeper, traveling across the northeast. He then worked for 29 years at Orleans Niagara BOCES teaching Chemistry, Math, and Industrial Arts, retiring in 2015.  He was passionate about nature, and especially enjoyed observing wildlife at home. He was a classic car enthusiast and movie buff. Christopher enjoyed rock and roll music, and had a large collection of vinyl records.  Above all, Christopher will be remembered for his adventurous, compassionate, genuine and giving nature.

In addition to his mother, Christopher is survived by his children, Stephanie A. (Jason) Waldron and Daniel A. Romney; his step-children, Carey R. (Patrick Gullo) Leibring, and Rob C. (Dee-Ann Courcy) Leibring; his grandchildren, Kieran Waldron, Brennan Waldron, Cassandra Waldron, and Jared Waldron; his siblings, Ailleen M. (Paul) Siuta, Linda L. Romney, Patricia J. (Michael) Cunningham, Barbara J. (Gregg) Pfeiffer, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Tiffany Romney, and his siblings, Michael P. (late Nancy) Romney, Kathleen S. Payne and Diane C. Pyzynski.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 10 AM - 12 PM at M.J.
