Christopher Young, 56, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17 2024. Born in Lewiston, NY he is the son of Ronald and Ann Marie (McNeil) Young; and the beloved husband of Susanne 'Sue' Young who he married on September 5, 2009 at Bond Lake Park in Ransomville, NY.

Chris was a graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School. He was longtime member of the Roofers Local 74 Union and was employed by Jameson Roofing in Dunkirk, NY for the past 34 years.

Chris was a talented artist and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at the beach surrounded by palm trees. He was a passionate animal lover and would care for any animal in need. Known as a jack of all trades, Chris loved tinkering with just about anything, as well as treasure hunting with his metal detector. Above all, Chris cherished the time spent with family.

In addition to his wife and parents, Chris is survived by his son, Nicholas Zaker, his sister, Rebecca (Timothy) Maynard; nephews, Nathan and Avery Maynard; two brothers-in-law Mark Place and Jason (Melanie) Place; his Chihuahua, Harley, and his fur baby cats; and many cousins and countless friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 24 from 3 – 6 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 6:00 PM.
