Clara M. (Fiore) Mascaro, 78, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Born in Spezzano, Piccolo, Calabria, Italy she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Fortunata (Pollilo) Fiore.

Clara was raised and educated in Italy, and immigrated to Canada in the late 1950's. On April 23, 1960, she married Anthony Mascaro in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Following their marriage they moved to the Niagara Falls, NY and later settled in Lewiston, NY where she currently resided. Mr. Mascaro predeceased her March 20, 2010. Clara was a devout Catholic and attended countless prayer and Novena groups. She was a longtime member of St. Peter's RC Church where served as a Eucharistic Minister. Clara was very artistic and loved oil painting, flower gardening and walking. She was a fabulous cook who enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her home. Clara will most be remembered for her love of the simple things in life, and her devotion to her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Mascaro is survived by her three children, Tina Mascaro of Lewiston, NY, Dr. Frank J. (Ellen) Mascaro of Grand Island, NY and Maria (Randy) Sinatra of Niagara Falls, NY; her loving grandchildren, Matthew, Madelyn, Anthony, Anastasia, Ella Grace, Mia, Nicolas and Luca; two sisters, Irene (late Giuseppe) D'Ambrosio of Stony Creek, Ontario and Teresa Guiliani of Buffalo, NY one brother, Salvatore Fiore of Niagara Falls, Ontario; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister-in-law of, Peter (Laura) Mascaro and Aldo (Pauline) Mascaro both of Niagara Falls, NY. Clara was also predeceased by three sisters, Franca (Carmen of Niagara Falls, NY) Cardamone, Assunta (late Antonio) Madia and Teresa Fiore.

Clara's family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, her grandson Matthew, niece Loretta, Crystal, Candy, Carol, Ellen, Katy, Pat, Mabel and Kristen.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday November 21st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's RC Church, 620 Center Street Lewiston, NY with Rev. Sebastian Pierro officiating. Private entombment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are graciously declined.
