Clara C. (Jacobi) Scott, 87, of Lewiston, NY died on Saturday January 31, 2009 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Mrs. Scott was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada in 1921, and has lived in the Niagara Falls area for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Florine (Gagnon) Jacobi.

Clara and her husband Howard were the owners of Scott Furniture in the Town of Niagara for twenty eight years. After retiring they were active refinishing antique furniture and attending estate sales until the passing of Mr. Scott on January 31, 1992.

Clara is survived by her son Howard L. Scott of Lewiston, NY; her daughter Karen (Jacque) Noah of Ownings Mills, MD; three grandchildren Megan (Robert) Lenhart of Arizona, Suzette and Yvette Noah of Maryland, a sister Dorothy Bullock of Lewiston, NY, two brothers; Richard Jacobi of Ransomville, NY and Jack Jacobi of California, her dear friend Andrew Peignet of Lewiston, NY and her dearest close friend Jean Calandrelli of Niagara Falls, NY. She was also predeceased by two brothers Robert Jacobi and Meade Jacobi.

There will be no prior visitation. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. If desired memorial contributions may be made to Lewiston Fire Company No. 1, 145 North 6th St. Lewiston, NY 14092 or to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, 5285 Lewiston Rd.
