Clarence L. Taylor, 74, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on February 11, 2017 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Talladega, AL, he was the son of the late Fred Davis and Ollie Mae Davis.
Clarence came to Niagara Falls as a child with his family and attended local schools. He was employed at Hooker later known as Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls and was currently working for the N.Y. State Parks Department. Clarence loved the music of Elvis Presley and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills. He was a member of the N.R.A., enjoyed working on cars, and an all-around handyman. Clarence also had a love for animals, especially his cats, Tiger and Grey.
Clarence is survived by his loving companion of 50 years, Patricia A. Hunt, five children, Shiela Hunt, Shalonda (Leonard) Carter, Pamela (Perry) Rankin-Burnett, Clarence Hunt and Quynshod Taylor; grandchildren, Shantrece Jenkins, Brandon Taylor Hunt, Brandi Hunt, Shaun Jenkins and La'kia Carter; one brother, Willie James (Mary A.) Taul, one sister, Willie Mae Clarke and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one sister, Freddie Mae Davis Bowers.
Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 20 th from 10 – 11a.m. at True Bethel Baptist Church 1112 South Ave. Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery.
