Claudette S. Montpetit, 83, passed away on July 19, 2021 at her residence in Tonawanda, NY under the care of Hospice Buffalo.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Rufus J. and Doris L. (Nye) Burns.

Claudette was raised in Niagara Falls and graduated from St. Mary's High School.  On June 22, 1963, she married Marcel J. 'Monty' Montpetit at Our Lady of the Rosary Church.  Mr. Montpetit predeceased her on September 5, 1999. She loved playing bingo and cards, shopping on QVC, canning, cross-stitching and making crafts.  Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children and beloved grandchildren, as well as her treasured friends.

Claudette is survived by her children, Christopher M. Montpetit, Jeffery W. Montpetit (Thomas Giunta) and Suzanne M. (Eddie) Cadro; her grandchildren, Ashley D. Cadro and Mitchell T. Cadro; one brother, one sister, four nephews and one cousin.  In addition to her husband of 36 years, she was predeceased by her sister.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23 from 3 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Saturday at 10:15 AM, followed by Claudette's Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 237 4th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303.  Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Boulevard, Buffalo, NY 14227.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
