Dagmar T. Federlein, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 in Elderwood at Wheatfield Healthcare Facility. Born in Rheydt-Odenkirchen, West Germany on October 13, 1940 to Friedrich P. and Helen (Legrand) Thonemann.

Dagmar immigrated to the United States in 1971 and married Frederic H. Federlein on October 8, 1974. Mr. Federlein predeceased Dagmar in 1979. Dagmar was well educated and after several years, retired from Schoharie Central School District as the Business Administrator.  Dagmar retired to a cabin in Cooperstown, NY where she enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and visits from sons and her grandchildren.

Dagmar is survived by her son, Andrew C. (Jade) Schlaak and her two grandchildren, Matthew and Alexis Schlaak.  In addition to her parents and husband, Dagmar was predeceased by a son, Michael P. Schlaak.
